The line-up pretty much already speaks volumes about how dope this clip is gonna be, so I don't have to say much. I wanted to go up to the show, but the schedule has been crazy. Big props to Sucio Smash for the invite though, and this video clip, which is only a small portion of the show, is a nice reminder of how much it is MY loss that I couldn't make it up there lol. Enjoy - they all ripped it. Peace

Emergence Presents: A Women In Hip-Hop Showcase ~ March 19th @ Victory Grill / SXSW
I'm lookin forward to this event & the entire music conference (SXSW) held down in Austin, TX! I'll be traveling with Eternia to the conference and also doing as much work on the press-side of things as possible. There will definitely be a lot of artists I'd like to get at for interviews if time permits, but first and foremost, I will be down there to support Eternia & MoSS's upcoming release, "AT LAST," on Fat Beats Records. Anyone who is planning to be at SXSW, please reach out and let me know - I wouldn't mind putting faces to the names in the comments section. Anyhow, come out and see Eternia, Tiye Phoenix, Bahamadia, Boog Brown, Invincible, Miz Korona, and more @ Victory Grill on March 19th! Click the flyer for more information and holla @ me - I'll be there all week.

Inbox Overload ~ Murs x Redman x Reflection Eternal x Magestik Legend x Drekidd x Rustee Juxx x Crooked I x Little Brother
Little Brother - Curtain Call (Prod. By Khrysis)Redman - Mind On My Money
Marco Polo & Rustee Juxx - Rearview
Reflection Eternal - In This World
Crooked I - First Time
Drekidd - Chilly (Prod. By Clams Casino)
Magestik Legend - All Eye Know (Prod. By Astronote)
Murs - The Problem Is (Prod. By 9th Wonder)
I know I promised to try to find more time to add new joints, but I honestly just haven't found it yet. These are a bunch of tracks that have landed in my inbox and I either like them or trust that the artist came with it lol. I know that's never safe, but with as much trash that hits my inbox, when I see a new Redman jawn, I'm gonna post it on the strength and check it when I get a second. Crooked I goes in over Shai's "If I Ever Fall In Love" beat - when I caught that track, I was like, "WHAT!" lol - I had to post it, don't hate me for it lol. Magestik Legend's joint w/ Astronote is dope - peep the way he formats his verse - rhyme patterns and flow are crazy. I'm making my way through everything, so cut me some slack and be nice in the comments whether you like or dislike something! We're all tryin' to come up! Peace

Lyricism & Capitalism ~ Jay Smooth (Video)
I dunno what the fuck a Wocka Flocka is ... but I can guess I won't like it lol. I'm definitely glad that Jay Smooth looked up the stats on this, because that certainly contradicts a lot of the general assumptions about how to go about making money in this industry (at least longterm). That said, the desires of most young cats isn't longevity, it's quick cash and with the trends in hip-hop, cashing in on a quick gimmick is the best case scenario for a lot of "artists" (considering they couldn't be lyrical if they wanted to lol). I don't hate and forbid me to wish someone to NOT succeed, but there is a certain humor in the closing comments that these artists will be back in their mother's basements in a few years. I don't knock people trying to come up, but at the cost of disrespecting the culture, I say enjoy it while you can and what will be, will be...

TheUnderGroundComeUp Presents: The Analects EP Vol.4
It's been a while sine I did an EP of joints, but it's never too late, so here is The Analects EP Vol.4 for everyone to enjoy. There are a total of 7 tracks on this one: Shamus' "Street Smarts," Yah Supreme "Old & Wise," Wisdom "All Star Jam," Eye Q "Blind MCs," Raw Breed "I Want In," IPH "Krush Ya Dreams," and Xtracts Of Slang "Deliverance." I really enjoy all of these tracks - some more than others, but I think they are all pretty dope. I might have posted the Wisdom track, which features Adagio! and The Juggaknots, as well as the Yah Supreme 12" but since I'm not entirely sure, I thought I'd include them here. 2 years of posting vinyl rips, cut me some slack! Props to Brakk who put me on to the I.P.H. joint a while back and let me know what you guys think of the tracks. New golden era inspired mixtape coming soon w/ me and DJ Dyllemma. I'm really looking forward to this one, so stay tuned! Peace

Eternia on The UnderGround Railroad w/ Jay Smooth (Video)
I lost count of the # of radio shows Eternia has hit in promotion of the event on this Friday ("AT LAST" We Got A Record Deal Jam!) and of course, to promote her upcoming album w/ MoSS, "AT LAST." It's always dope to be a part of Jay Smooth's show, because it carries with it the very essence of what radio should be like - they support quality music, without the politics. I respect what they've consistently done since the 90s and hope you will support them right back next time you tune in to the show. I'll say no more, you already know Eternia is gonna spit something sick, so sick back and enjoy!
