Got Beats?

The Underground Come-Up is currently working on a promotional album, which will be available for free in digital form online & in limited hardcopy, as well as sent out to all major websites, radio DJs, and magazine publications. Early estimations suggest that there will end up being 30-40 MCs on this project to give it a nice and complete sound & between 12-15 tracks. If I had to characterize the sound, I'd place it as a blend of NYC & Detroit hip-hop, with an emphasis on soulful beats & content driven lyrics. Artists I've interviewed, done promo for, shows with, etc, are obviously high up on the list of artists I'm reaching out to participate on the album, but naturally there are countless artists I respect & would love to work with, who will also be contacted as I get more production.

To be clear, this is not a contest, it's an opportunity. An opportunity to showcase your talent & reach thousands of people worldwide. I came up with the idea to start working on the album around the New Year. While everyone was thinking of resolutions, I tried to think of what would make me happy & how I could advance this website, my goals & offer an opportunity to do more than complain about the state of music, but in my own way, help to put out a project that would undeniably showcase the talent still alive in underground hip-hop. Over the past year, I've come across so much talent, met so many good people and heard so much good music, that it upsets me that more people aren't aware of each and every one of those artists. I feel like collaborations & features are a great way to expand people's fanbases & open eyes to talent, so this is going to be a features album and it will do just that...

I'm looking for production with soul-based sampling and heavy drums &/or a traditional boombap sound. If you feel that this is your style & would like to submit beats for me to hear, please e-mail me @ DJ.SAV.ONE@GMAIL.COM & I promise, I will check out your beats ASAP.
