2 very solid 12" releases from "World Renown," both on Warner Bros Records (crazy to think that nowadays). "Come Take A Ride" was released in '94 & "How Nice I Am" in '95. Lords Of The Underground may have been more well-renown'd (no pun intended) for their use of the beat on Come Take A Ride, but they were both released in '94, only 1 was gonna come out on top, I guess. For some background info, the 2-man crew was made up of: Seven Shawn, who was cousin to the good homie, K-Def & John Doe, who is cousin to Marley Marl ... not a bad start, right? Their self-titled album was featured in The Source magazine, back when that meant something, and it received 3.5 mics ... but what does that mean to a record label, right? They shelved it anyway & despite rumors it was going to be released sometime this year, I have not seen it (it's possible I missed it ... anyone?). Enjoy.
